Search Marketing vs SEO
We include this brief note to avoid any confusion. Many people use the terms Search
Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Marketing interchangably. In fact they have
different meanings, one being a subset of the other:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- SEO relates to the art of lifting your rankings within the free search listings.

Search Marketing - a broader term than SEO, Search Marketing includes
other ways to increase the exposure of your site within the search engines such as
paid listings (sometimes called sponsored lsitings), advert campaigns (such as Google Adwords), etc.
